Club Bio

Shoreline Frontrunners formed in 1984 to support the local LGBTQ+ community in Long Beach, CA and we are a 501c3 non-profit club. Our running/training events primarily take place along the beach path at the waters edge with our primary meeting spot on the bluff at Redondo and Ocean Boulevards. The running path begins at Bayshore Drive and ends near Shoreline Drive however we do run for long distance through the Shoreline area, across the Rainbow Bridge to the Queen Mary and back. The club also runs in other areas of Long Beach on Thursday evenings to provide a variety of topography, like hill training in Signal Hill. A variety of club events support the formation of friendships among members and include post run potlucks, annual events like our awards banquet and progressive dinner along with other events that take advantage of the variety of things to do in the Long Beach area. Club dues are currently $20 and the fees support our club insurance (RRCA member), membership in the International Frontrunners and our community programs. Members enjoy club-only events, discount to all our open events and receive club information in our weekly email updates and through this website. Membership fees are due on January first of each year. Membership must be current for members to participate in the Board Officer Election that takes place each January.
