Club Bio

Mission: Running Club North (RCN) holds a Certificate of Incorporation (Alaska Entity No. 10090489), and is located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Our organization is dedicated to the promotion of running and running-related activities in Interior Alaska. Anyone can join the club without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, physical condition, or age. Non-profit status is maintained through affiliate membership of Road Runner Club of America (RRCA). RCN is supported by many dedicated individuals and families, all of whom contribute to the successful operation of the club. Because of this support, there is an RCN event almost every week of the year. Running Club North is a member with Road Runners Club of America, linking the Interior of Alaska with the rest of the nation. EVENTS Our annual Interior Alaska Event Calendar includes numerous events ranging from snowshoe races and triathlons (including x-country skiing, swimming, and canoeing, as well as running and biking) to wilderness trail runs. Races range from beginning running to the most difficult, but rewarding events. RCN has many single races and several series races, including the Usibelli Running Series and the Northern Trails Running Series. Race distances vary from 1 mile to the 26.2 mile very hilly Equinox Marathon with many distances in between. Series information can be viewed by accessing the links on the main menu.
