If you are looking for a club that combines a healthy sport plus great social activities, the New Hyde Park - Mineola Runners’ Club is for you! The NHP-M Runners can help you get started running, train for any distance race from 5K to a 1/2 marathon or marathon or even an Ultra Marathon. We can help get you through a long run, get stronger and faster. We have training runs for those preparing for a hard spring 15K, like the Kings Park 15K Race. We also have training runs for those preparing to run a spring 1/2 marathon, like the Long Island Half Marathon. In the summer the focus shifts to training for fast shorter races, like the Massapequa Firecracker or the Bellmore Independence Day 4 Mile Race. Our training runs for a fall marathon or half marathon start in the summer. Our runners train for fall races like the NYC Marathon or the Hershey 1/2 Marathon, our fall weekend race trip. Our training runs are all on great local courses, with bathroom and water stops always included. for the hardcore, we have a USATF-LI race team that competes in the Grand Prix Race Series. If you are a returning after a layoff or an injury, don't worry, you'll always find someone to run with. We also have runs for those just looking to get outside for a while and enjoy the weather and company of other runners. If you are looking for social running, the NHP-M Runners has it all. We have weekend race trips, runs and breakfast from our members homes, teams for the Ocean to sound Relay. Summer night runs at Jones Beach and Long Beach with dinner after. The NHP-M Runners Club also has social events that are the talk of the LI running community. We have a Holiday Party in December, a New Year's Day Breakfast and Run, Superbowl Party, After Picnic for the LI Festival of Races and a summer BBQ.
