Club Bio

Iroquois Hill Runners was founded in August 1979 by an avid group of South Louisville Runners. Since that time, the group has evolved to be a group of runners, walkers, and friends. We are dedicated to hosting fun, affordable events for the running community. In addition to hosting six annual races in Iroquois Park, we offer hill repeat training sessions in the spring and track sessions in the summer. There are a variety of ways to get involved in the group. One is to simply show up and run or walk during one of our events. Another is to become a paid member. Membership is $15 a year, and all members receive our monthly email newsletter and invites to club events like our annual picnic. Funds from membership dues help us cover the costs for all the events we put on in the park every year, like the Wally Bright Memorial Bake-Off Run in May and the Thanksgiving Day Race in November. Thanks to our members, we are able to keep costs for our summer 5k races as low as $3 per person. (Another perk: members can run these races for $2.)
