Club Bio

Conshy Running aka #conshyrunning was founded in April 2014. Our mission is to promote running and an active lifestyle within Conshy in a fun, social, no-pressure environment. We are as much about running as we are about making new friendships and building our community. We are an open running community that meets 3x a week for group runs designed to hit 3 important training runs that every runner should have in their training regiment - standard runs, speed-work, and long runs. We welcome all paces and faces! Our main group run is dubbed #thirstythursday. We meet every Thursday at 6:30pm at the Conshohocken Brewing Company for a 45-60 minute group run down the Schuylkill River Trail followed by a few beers. Every Tuesday at 6:30pm, we alternate meeting at the Conshohocken Brewing Company and the Plymouth Whitemarsh track for speed-work. Coach Kristy Campbell from Run the Long Road creates speed workouts designed to help our runners achieve a variety of running goals from 5k to marathon. On weekends we go long and we brunch hard! This is our #saturdaybRUNch or #sundaybRUNch. We meet around 9am in the fall/winter/spring, and 8am in the summer. There is always a question of the week and an awkward before run photo and then join us for brunch at a nearby spot afterwards ~approximately 60 mins after the runs starts.
