Club Bio

The Middletown Athletic Club (MAC) was formed in 2002 by several long-time runners to promote running as a social and competitive activity. MAC is an officially recognized member of the Road Runners Clubs of America (RCCA). MAC's goals include promoting running as a family-oriented activity as well as to promote youth running. MAC also fields several competitive teams in area races. Whether you are new to running or a seasoned competitor, youth athlete or a Master, run for health and fitness or train to race a marathon, MAC offers something for everyone. MAC sponsors several recurring club runs for runners of all paces and goals, as well as several running-related social events and a race each year. The biggest of these events is the Olde Tyme Peach Festival 5K held in mid-August and usually draws 250+ runners. Check our EVENTS page for more details on the MAC activities. As a not-for-profit organization, proceeds from MAC membership dues and sponsored events are used to award one $1000 scholarship annually to an area high school cross country athlete. MAC is a great way to join your neighbors and enjoy the simple sport of running. Please consider joining us!
