Club Bio

The Linkville Lopers is a casual club for individuals who share a common interest in running and walking. The club is a member of the Road Runners Club of America and is guided by a Board of Directors. We were founded in the 1970's. We hold regular general meetings open to all members; most club business has to do with sponsoring and staffing local running events. We are a non-profit organization that hosts and provides official timing of local events. Your race entries and membership proceeds are donated back to our local community. In the past we have given our funds to local high school student scholarships. Currently, we are donating our proceeds to local organizations that have created and maintained parks and trails. Recent recipients include, Friends of Moore Park, Klamath Trails Alliance (KTA), Steen's Sports Park, and Rails to Trails (Oregon State Parks) - OC&E Trail. Our membership is represented by the entire spectrum of performance, including: elite runners, mid-packers, back-of-the-packers, and recreational walkers. Among our ranks are marathoners, triathletes, vegans, high school cross country team members, carnivores, the young, and the not-so-young.
