Club Bio

Mission: The Knoxville Track Club encourages life-long physical well-being through running and walking. Vision: Healthy living, healthy community - one step at a time. Purpose: With more than 2100 members, the KTC is one of the largest running clubs of its kind in the country. KTC is a member of the USATF, AAU, Road Runners Club of America, Knoxville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Knox Area Greenways Coalition. We are a longtime participant in the Tennessee Adopt-a-Highway and Adopt-a-Creek programs. Playing an active role in Knoxville and surrounding counties, we raise monies at our own races, as well as assist others for a variety of worthy causes, including the Knox Greenways Coalition, FISH Pantry, the Arthritis Foundation, Tennessee School for the Deaf, local youth organizations and others. We sponsor a year round Youth Athletics program for East Tennessee area kids and train exceptional athletes for regional and national competition. We support high school, middle school and elementary school track and field and cross country programs, and direct the Volunteer Track Classic Series. We give financial support to the University of Tennessee Women's and Men's Track Teams. Our KTC Officials Association assists in and trains officials for area track and field meets.
